Helen’s Place LLC, Update: July 20, 2022
The challenge for companies to provide work from home opportunities is even greater now than in 2016, since the Covid-19 pandemic.
This includes online jobs for those immunocompromised needing to avoid exposure to people, and those suffering from effects of long-covid health issue where they are partially disabled.
Additionally, many more people will need to work from home to make ends meet due to inflation, transportation, housing and childcare costs.
Those with existing employment may seek additional side hustles online to supplement their income.
Fortunately, technology improvements in hardware and software, and improved job boards like Flex Jobs and other free job boards, make it much easier to work from home.

Helen’s Place LLC is challenging all companies in the U.S. to create more online jobs that pay a living wage of $15.00 per hour or more.
The technology has existed for a long time to pay people working from home in the U.S. to do a variety of jobs, including providing information that once was handled by overseas call centers.
It makes sense to save money and provide workers better wages, by providing work from home opportunities. If “Uber” can do it for transportation, companies can do it for services that provide information.
If you estimate the costs for overseas call centers, for example, including dropped calls, increased security risks, power instability and political unrest in foreign countries, and compare that to the costs of doing business directly with online workers needing jobs in America, you may come out ahead.
Just the public relations improvements with your customers may be worth the expense, and show that you care about them, your workers, and promoting jobs and quality of life in America.
You may not be able to bring back manufacturing jobs, but you can promote work from home opportunities in many areas.
Providing more online jobs will also assist in solving some of the problems with low employment in underserved locations in the U.S., which may in the end bring you more customers with money to spend on your products and services.
