News from The Feather Birdhouse is that Pidge of “Birdhouse” fame, joined the Birds Aren’t Real (BAR)  movement as a counterprotest ahead of the 2024 Presidential Election.

“I’m not political, but I’m tired of people saying that ‘birds aren’t real,’ when they obviously are,” she cooed.

What prompted her to get off the fence, so to speak, was learning that Peter McIndoe, founder of the Birds Aren’t Real (BAR) movement, was leaving the organization, and she felt now was the time to come forward and correct the misinformation against birds.  According to Pidge:

“Believing that birds are surveillance drones, is absolutely stupid.”

Pidge hopes that BAR, under new leadership, will get the bird info straight.  But regardless, feels she’ll find a place in the group – whether they think she’s fake or not, because as she emphasized:

“When you can’t beat ‘em, you might as well join ‘em!”

Readers may recall Pidge as a coming of age bird in the Fall of 2021, and one of the rising stars  in the book, The Feather Birdhouse or Birds on the Move.

Now, three years later as a wiser, more mature bird, she’s ready to take on the challenge to fight for the betterment of all birds, people in America, and the World.

Pidge’s political platform is to stop false information about birds and the environment.  She wants people to get out and vote for representatives who will tell the truth because:

“A country built on lies, cannot stand.”

She hopes that others will hear her message and join the BAR movement to make their voices heard, because you don’t need to pretend to be a fake bird just to fit in.   As she stated in her announcement speech on March 15, 2024:

“It’s not that hard to do the right thing, so please join me in chanting, ‘Lies are stupid,’ and don’t forget to get out and vote!”

Helen’s Place LLC is reaching out to the BAR organization for their reaction, and will report back with any feedback.   For more information about the BAR movement, checkout their website and the information below.
