School didn’t work out for you and you dropped out. If you’re in high school, you can get your G.E.D. online.   If you were at a four-year institution, you can start back at a junior college when you’re ready.

You can always start over in America. You can always find a job if school is not for you.

Unlike any other place on earth, America is the land of second chances and reinvention.

Don’t waste a moment – use your time before starting something new to evaluate what went right and what went wrong at school.

Write down your thoughts and refer back to your notes often to modify them as you get more clarity about it;  chances are it’s complicated.

Really think about what has happened to you before moving on to the next phase of your life, so that you’re less likely to repeat the same mistake.

You’ll have to decide if you want to go back to school, or if you just want to get a job for a while.  Sometimes, you may decide that you really want to work, but it turns out that a job is not available fast enough before your student loans are due, so you enroll in school again.  That’s OK.

Another option is you could travel for a while, or move to another town and get a fresh start there.  Even the slightest change of location can sometimes help shift your perception to identify your options more clearly.

Instead of bitterness or regret, take constructive action to start again.

Life is designed to give you opportunities to work on your emotional fitness every day so that you can become the best version of you.  But not everyone gets that because it takes time and energy to develop awareness.
