There’s no time for hand wringing, only resilience. The people manipulating the stock market and their investors are getting wealthier by the day, while the rest of America is getting poorer. The bad economy that people complained about under Biden, just got much worse under the Trump regime – despite their lies to the contrary.
But now that Americans have a taste for what it’s like to live under a dictatorship, including non-stop propaganda, the first order of business is to elect Democrats to Congress in the 2026 mid-term elections.
Once MAGA is out of office the next is to: 1. analyze the Trump regime’s actions and undo executive orders and practices that eroded American democracy. 2. Hold lawbreakers accountable, and, 3. Shore up our judicial system so that a wannabe dictator never gets elected again.
This takes time, and it’s likely going to be a long slog before Americans get through the Trump presidency and the aftermath of the Trump Era – likely spanning 2015 through 2032.
The Resilience Americans Need to Get Through The Next 5-10 Years
The U.S.-Iran War is now a forever war. This war that Netanyahu and Trump started on February 28, 2026, may have been the last straw for many American First voters. However, the war has unleashed an economic catastrophe and terrorist world, and it’s too soon to understand how long it will take to end it.
Many Americans may not realize the full impact on their day-to-day lives until if or when terrorists start blowing up stuff in America. This is because they are busy with their lives and just not paying that close of attention YET (but they will).
At the end of April 2026, for example, many people are just expecting the war to be over any minute and gas prices to return to normal.
Some of this is wishful thinking, but a lot of it is stock market manipulation caused by Trump directly staging events showing that the end of the war is “imminent.”
This includes fake negotiation talks with Iran that were never scheduled, where Trump makes a show of pretending they were going to happen and then pretends he was cancelling them. At this time, legacy media and the stock market manipulators are happy to go along with this scheme.
The stock market rises every time Trump announces a near end to the war – at least four times so far. However, it can’t go on like this much longer.
The reality is that we are in the middle of a global event more severe than the worst hurricane strike.
Daily, so much is destroyed and lives lost in the Middle East, and it’s only a matter of time before the war escalates to American shores.
Some of the first indicators that Americans are in real trouble under Trump 2.0 include:
- Car repossessions and mortgage defaults are up as gas prices continue to rise.
- Veterans and others are standing in long lines to get free food from food banks.
- Jobs losses are increasing around the country due to AI replacements occurring while the U.S.-Iran War escalates.
We are seeing more attacks on Christians and Jews in America. For example, Attacks on Pope Leo – preaching the gospel against war – are common but aren’t going over well with Catholics.
Trump was caught portraying himself as the savior and then lied about it saying the image was of himself as a doctor, not Jesus. But as Stephen Colbert joked on April 13, 2026, “If I’d seen the image, I’d think I died.”
The president represents fake Christians seeking revenge and violence against any religion or group they don’t like including public servants and comedians.
Former Trump supporting podcasters, including Tucker Carlson, are having a difficult time squaring with their listeners how they misled them to follow Trump down the rabbit hole.
A closer listen to what Carlson is saying though, indicates that he believes Trump betrayed his supporters for not doing more to get non-white, non-immigrants out of the country, and for siding with Netanyahu in a forever war because Trump and Netanyahu are part of some diabolical Jewish cabal.
Republicans in Congress are supporting Trump and clinging to power at all cost while they allow Trump to wage war and destroy American institutions.
The erosion of American society described above has worked to Putin and Xi Jinping’s advantage to make Russia and China the big winners during this period in American history
The Trump family is successfully profiteering off the presidency to make backroom deals, whether the U.S. is in a war or not.
What Success in the Future Looks Like for Average Americans
More Americans are wising up every day to the Trump administration’s corrupt actions and gaslighting. They are wired to be resilient politically having survived civil war and multiple world wars. Increasingly, they are organizing through groups like Indivisible, to vote the Trump regime out.
Americans are also looking to Minnesota as the role model for how to band together to get through these tough times.
Additionally, because hurricanes, tornados, fire and floods are wiping out property every year, Americans are increasingly emerging from the rubble to start over – literally. When push comes to shove – they will take action and stand up and defend their American way of life.
Fortunately, solid leadership is emerging including from Pope Leo, and many democrats and independents. They are having an impact not only on the Catholic faith but the world, to return to respect for all religions and stand up for democracy and human rights.
A recent speech by King Charles to Congress on April 28, 2026 reminded Americans of their better selves.
Conclusion
Eventually, the U.S. will face the task of educating the American population so that an authoritarian government like the Trump regime never happens again.
This is similar to Hungary dealing with the aftermath of the Viktor Orban regime lasting thirteen years.
Lessons learned from history, including our own, will likely remain in our schools for the rest of America’s existence – including the effects on the world because of the Trump regime’s eradication of United States Agency for International Development (USAID), and the devastating outcome from the U.S.-Iran War.
So too will Americans learn the hard way of the value of federal service employees in their lives, and will likely bring back federal jobs to strengthen independence and non-partisanship in the U.S. government, including increasing federal job guarantees for veterans, under the U.S. Office of Personnel Management (OPM).
Through all of the rough years ahead – possibly the most severe since World War II – Americans will continue enjoying lovely spring days, and cling to what is beautiful and meaningful. They will continue raising families, planting trees and growing gardens.
People around the world are rooting for America to return to its higher ideals of liberty and justice for all. It’s too soon to count America out.

“This [King Charles] was the speech’s most devastating undercurrent: not anger, not rebuke, but grief. The American dream, Charles seemed to say, is a thing the world used to count on. He would very much like it to come back.” The video is posted below:
